Winners Announced in 6th Annual Youth Apostles Multimedia Pro-Life Contest

Youth Apostles is delighted to announce the winners in the 6th annual multimedia pro-life contest.

Young people in grades 7-12 could submit entries in six categories: essays, posters, memes, PowerPoint, spoken word, and videos. There were 203 entries.

Youth Apostles began holding pro-life essay contests in 1993; in 1999, posters were added to the competition. Later, the categories were expanded to allow expression in more forms of media and to give young people additional outlets through which to employ their creativity in expressing pro-life values and messages.

Through the contests, Youth Apostles hopes to complement and support the education that schools, youth ministers, and parents give young people concerning life, its inherent value, and the importance of protecting it. Youth Apostles also hopes to give young people ways to express what they have learned and believe.

As always, this year's entries provided abundant and eloquent proof of young people's love for innocent and vulnerable life, their grasp of pro-life values and commitment to upholding them, and their insight. Their creativity and talent is beautiful, impressive, and touching -- and is a real ray of hope in a world and time that often needs one.
