“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” – John 20:29
I will be a Consecrated Youth Apostle starting May 30, 2020.
Hometown: Manassas, VA
Education: Virginia Tech. BS Mechanical Engineering. 2017.
Where I’ve served
2017 – Present: St. Bernadette Youth Ministry. Springfield, VA.
I grew up a cradle Catholic and attended Catholic school for the majority of my life. I knew the faith very well, but I never used that knowledge to build my personal relationship with God. I always say, Jesus was in the mind and not the heart…until college at least. I attended Virginia Tech and landed with the right crowd: a couple of Youth Apostles who served in their ministry on campus. Between them, a couple FOCUS missionaries, and some virtuous friends I had all the guidance and resources I needed to grow in a personal relationship with our God. After that growth in college, I eventually warmed up to the idea of volunteering for the Church in youth ministry. I got thrust into the fire with a bunch of St. Bernadette middle-schoolers, and have ended up loving every bit of this service God has called me to. Eventually, the call went deeper. I had felt a tug on my heart for some time that a radical commitment to live more like Christ (especially in poverty) was being asked of me. I decided to jump in further, so I quit my engineering job in March 2020 to pursue consecrated life in Youth Apostles and it has been anything but normal since (but so fulfilling). God is good.
I believe it is a privilege and an honor to partner with others to fulfill the Great Commission. I decided to fully rely on the spiritual and financial support of others to complete this mission because of the blessing it is to share in this work with others. If you are interested in learning more about the mission and ways to join my mission support team, please let me know the best way to contact you and we can schedule an appointment. Thank you and God Bless.
